Musica — Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 18, 2026

The short version: Musica collects no data. Everything stays on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. Musica has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information — from you or from your children.

The microphone

Musica asks for microphone access for exactly one purpose: listening to the piano in real time so the app can tell which note was played. Audio is processed live, on the device, and is never recorded, saved, or sent anywhere. When you leave the practice screen or toggle the microphone off, listening stops.

Practice data

Profiles you create (a name and optional photo) and practice history (daily scores and practiced notes) are stored only in the app's local database on your device. They never leave it. Deleting a profile deletes its history; deleting the app deletes everything.

Children

Musica is made for families. Because the app collects nothing and transmits nothing, no personal information about children is ever gathered, shared, or sold.

Subscriptions

Optional subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. We never see or store your payment details. You can manage or cancel a subscription anytime in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
